The complete software solution is based on three applications, specialized for particular segments of business, which at the same time are fully integrated into existing systems and databases:
  • Goods receipt into the warehouse
  • Goods receipt into retail store
  • Inventory

    Goods receipt into the warehouse
The application is designed to provide initial connection of the mobile device with the retail system when the document – goods receipt data - is being transferred to the mobile device. Based on this data, goods are being received into the warehouse, with automatic comparison of scanned goods with the data taken from the retail system and the amount of goods is being tracked.

At the end of goods reception, the operator is automatically warned by the application if the data isn't correct, meaning scanned data doesn't suit the retail system data.

    Goods receipt into retail store
For the purpose of transferring data from storage facilities to the store, application similar to the previous one is being used. The fundamental difference lays in the data that are being transferred from the retail system and in business logic that has been implemented in the application.

After the reception is conducted, all the necessary data is written back to the ERP system (Microsoft Navision).

    Inventory
The general purpose of this application is to conduct goods inventory in IPS on multiple different locations, using multiple mobile devices in each of them.

Before the inventory itself, all required data is being transferred to the mobile devices, after which the inventory is done simple by scanning bar-codes and entering the number of pieces that are located in the part of the inventory premises. That means that any device can also be assigned to just one certain part of the entire location – a room or even a shelf.

While this is being done, all the data of any significance for the person responsible for the inventorying is present on the mobile device's display.

The integration of the device held data with the inventorying system data is possible at any moment by a simple button click and it doesn't matter if the inventory has been done completely or just partially. If it was a partial inventory, the process of data acquisition can be resumed.

The application is simple to use and it requires minimum staff training time. Everything comes down to a click or two, while the rest of processing is being done in the background by the system itself. Another benefit is significant time saving for this kind of business process even during the very first inventory.
